Frequently asked questions

What does 3 days a week actually cost?
Three 4-hour visits a week is about 48 hours a month, which lands between our Personal Care Plus and Extended Care packages. Call today and we'll confirm your exact rate after the free assessment.
Will we get the same caregiver every visit?
That's the goal, and it's how we schedule. When your caregiver is sick or on vacation we send a trained backup who already has the written care plan.
What if Mom refuses a shower or turns the caregiver away?
Our caregivers are trained to redirect, come back later in the visit and never force care. We log the refusal, tell you the same day, and adjust the routine — timing and trust solve most of it.
How fast can care start after a hospital discharge?
We can usually start within 24–48 hours of the assessment, including weekends. Call us before discharge and we'll coordinate with the discharge planner.
Do you handle dementia and wandering?
Yes. Caregivers are trained in dementia communication, routine anchoring and exit-seeking safety. We'll also walk the home for door alarms and hazards during the assessment.
How are caregivers screened?
Every caregiver completes a background check, reference verification and a hands-on skills assessment before their first shift. We are bonded and insured.
Can we request a caregiver who speaks our language?
Yes. We match on language, faith, food and daily routine so care feels like home rather than a rotation of strangers.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel or change a visit with 24 hours' notice at no charge, and adjust your monthly hours at any time as needs change.
What can families see in the portal?
Daily logs covering meals, bath and hygiene time, medication reminders, bedtime and caregiver notes. Only your care team can create or edit entries.
How do families pay?
Most families pay privately by card or ACH. We also support long-term care insurance reimbursement, VA Aid & Attendance and Medicaid waiver programs where we are an approved provider.
